Flawless statistics thanks to perfect grip
The Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America was in action twice in August. Kyle Marcelli and Danny Formal dominated proceedings at both the Road America circuit and the Virginia International Speedway. As at the previous events, the drivers from the Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti Autosport team took full advantage of the high grip level provided by the Hankook Ventus Race, and once again emerged victorious. The duo from Canada and Costa Rica continued their winning run and are now undefeated in all eight of this season’s races so far. The championship leaders now travel to Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the venue for the next round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America from 15th to 17th September, with this flawless statistic and a 44-point lead.

Title wrapped up at Hankook’s home event
The race weekend at Inje Speedium in the South Korean province of Gangwon-do from 18th to 20th August was a home event for Hankook, the official tyre partner of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia. The Hankook Ventus Race felt particularly good on its home asphalt and provided Chris van der Drift and Marco Giltrap with perfect grip. The New Zealanders won both races at the 3.91-kilometre circuit. Van der Drift and Giltrap were not only able to celebrate their brace of race wins, but also wrapped up the title with races still to come.
